Grain measures-also called bushels- from the end of the 19th century. Made in metal, they each are a separate measure: Double litre, litre and half-litre. The system for weights and measures used in France at the end of the XVIIIth century was extremely complex. There were more than 800 words for measures and each had an infinite number of sizes... here are 3 of them which have survived the centuries !
