4 eyes Idol

BDIV362

New product

A superb reproduction of a four-eyed idol in sandstone, the original of which dates back to 4000 BC. These idols were frequently used as votive offerings and were also used as portable amulets in ancient Mesopotamia (especially when they were small).
This one is an abstract representation of the human figure, with four eyes symbolising the ability to see or communicate with the deities. Hand-carved by our craftsmen in our workshops, it has been given a patina to give it the character of the period.
